Winterworld Fremantle will open 8:30am to 9:00pm (last session at 7:45pm) Sunday to Thursday and 8:30am to 10:00pm (last session at 9:00pm) Friday and Saturday.

Sessions are 1 hr (Sessions times include getting you skate ready, 50 minutes on the ice, and a forecast of falling snow)

For the first time ever in WA, Winterworld Fremantle will feature a real snow pit thanks to White Snow– where kids (and adults) can play amongst the snow, build a snowman or have a snow ball fight!

The real snow pit will join the ever-popular mountainous inflatable pop-up slide, the real ice toboggan and falling snow over the rink that will have everyone talking!

If you haven’t received your online tickets please start off by checking your junk mail and bank statement to ensure the booking went through. If you have still not received your tickets you can log into your Ticketbooth account and re-print or please contact Ticketbooth on [email protected] or 1300 762 344.

If the session hasn’t already sold out online, we will have tickets available at the box office. Secure a spot online for your chosen session to avoid disappointment and also take advantage of our online discount. Tickets are more expensive from the Box office.

We sure do! Simply purchase the tickets to your preferred session and bring your ticket confirmation along with your Companion Card to the box office on the day. We can supply you with the complimentary ticket.

There is a slight lip on the edge of our rink, however we can supply a small ramp and staff assistance for easy access onto the rink.

Winterworld Fremantle is a family friendly event, suitable for everyone! Young children, families, teens and adults of all ages are encouraged to visit. Winterworld Fremantle is easily accessible and offers something for everyone.

Winterworld Fremantle is partnering with the National Hotel to provide a cosy and warm lodge for patrons to enjoy drinks (mulled wines, beers, soft drinks) and scrumptious food options.

We’ve got you covered. All ticket prices include FREE skate hire.

Skates range from a child’s size 12 to an adult size 13. We also have Double Runners available for the little ones.

Don’t forget to bring your socks! We will also have socks for sale at the rink.

The family ticket will admit two children and two big skaters (16+), or one big skater (16+) and three children onto the rink with free skate hire for all four people. Children are 15 years old and under.

We ask that parents use their discretion when buying tickets for the really little ones, you will know your child better than anyone so please gauge their ability on walking, running and other leisure activities.

Generally speaking the youngest skaters are around the two year old mark, please see info on skate sizes below.

Your safety and the safety of your little one is paramount, for this reason we have a strict NO babies or children in arms policy. Young children cannot be carried on the rink at any time.

Each skating session is in a one-hour block, once you get your skates on and jump on the ice, you’re skating for approximately 50 minutes.

You are more than welcome to bring your family to any of our skating sessions. Day sessions attract mixed ages with a stronger focus on young families and nights tend to attract an older more mature crowd.

If you would like to bring along a little skater we recommend you consider the morning sessions.

Children aged 5 and under must be supervised on the ice at all times by a parent or guardian with a valid ticket.

Not at all! Multiple seating options, an open fire pit, cosy bar thanks to our friends at The National Hotel  means skating isn’t the only thing to warm you up!  it’s free to spectate and The National Hotel’s winter lodge is the perfect place to watch your friends and family skate.

Please note: non-paying customers cannot access the Ice Rink or Skate Hire area.

However Parents and Guardians of children skating who DO NOT want to skate may still enter the skate hire area in order to help their children with their skates.

For those with little feet and questionable balance, double runner skates will be available. The Double Runners simply strap over the top of your enclosed shoe to keep your child on their feet for a bit longer. Double runners are limited so please arrive early if you require these.

Lucky you, please feel free to bring them along. However all ticket prices do include FREE skate hire and no discounts will be offered if providing your own.

The penguins have waddled their way to the West Coast and are there to help you through the winter. The Penguins are there to help, by having something to keep you stable and to push around the rink. They are more suited for the little ones, although adults are welcome to try and NO, they don’t bite.

A limited number of penguins have made the journey; please book in advance to get your hands on one of our little friends.

The rink barriers also act as a great support for those a little unsure.

Yes, the penguins are a popular aid and there is only a designated amount available per session. You will be notified at time of purchase if the penguins are SOLD OUT and we do suggest selecting an alternative session or brave the cold on your own.

Welcome to a frosty winter and by the port in Fremantle, so we strongly recommend wearing comfortable, warm outdoor clothing. Don’t forget to keep your fingers and toes warm, that ice rink is chilly!

We skate rain or shine, if it’s raining we strongly recommend bringing along your wet weather gear and a change of clothes.

The only sessions cancelled are those affected by electrical or severe storms. Your health and safety is our priority, and the decision to cancel a session will be announced at the discretion of the event organisers. This is done as close to your session as possibly to give you the best chance of skating. Weather in Perth can be crazy and changes within minutes.

If your session is cancelled we will be in touch to help you reschedule.

Please pick your session carefully as all ticket sales are final at the checkout and cannot be changed or cancelled (unless your session is cancelled by event organisers due to weather).

However, if for some reason you can no longer attend a session, feel free to surprise a friend and pass your ticket on to someone else. As long as they’re the same price type there are no problems.
